Blackened Shrimp with Creamy Lemon Butter Fettuccine

Juicy, caramelized shrimp with a bold, smoky crust are the star of this dish - perfectly seasoned with SwissAm Blackened Seasoning. Each bite delivers that signature blackened flavor: slightly crisp on the outside, tender and succulent inside.

Paired with silky fettuccine tossed in a light lemon butter cream sauce, this dish strikes the perfect balance between richness and freshness. It’s elegant enough for entertaining, yet simple enough for a quick, restaurant-quality dinner at home.

Ingredients

Serves 4

For the shrimp:

For the fettuccine:

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Zest of 1 lemon

  • 1–2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Cook the pasta
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.

2. Season the shrimp
Pat the shrimp dry. Toss with olive oil or melted butter, then coat evenly with SwissAm Blackened Seasoning.

3. Cook the shrimp
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until deeply caramelized and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

4. Make the sauce
In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in cream, Parmesan, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

5. Combine
Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce, tossing to coat. Use a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.

6. Serve
Plate the creamy fettuccine and top with the blackened shrimp. Finish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Why This Recipe Works
